<p>The MGM, with over 5,000 rooms in one structure, is still considered the worlds largest hotel.  The Venetian has more rooms, but divided amongst several towers.</p>
<p>Compare that to:</p>
<p>1970: 25,000 Rooms<br />
1980: 45,000 Rooms<br />
1990: 73,000 Rooms<br />
2000: 124,000 Rooms</p>
