Mayweather vs Ortiz at the MGM
Here it is only Monday afternoon, and even the NFL fans are talking about the Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz battle this past weekend. The uproar is over a 4th round knockout giving Mayweather the win.
Of course, Victor Ortiz wants a rematch, and Vegas favorite Floyd Mayweather Jr. said he is more than happy to accommodate the request. Not sure what the bookies think about that, but the fans surely will want one as well…
What’s The Problem??
Moments before the controversial knockout, Victor Ortiz had been assessed a one-point deduction by referee Cortez for deliberately head-butting Floyd Mayweather. This stopped the action briefly, but once the fight resumed, Ortiz appeared distracted and wasn’t ready. Mayweather saw his opening and immediately pounced on the distracted ortiz, delivering a wicked left hook to the head, followed by a powerful overhand right that sent Mr Ortiz to the canvas.
Mayweather may be 34 years old. An age when most other boxers are drinking their meals and coaching younger fighters, Mayweather is looking for more action and he will find it soon..
