Showgirls Against Resort Fees

Protesting resort fees

The Showgirls of Jubille took to the Las Vegas Strip, along with Flamingo headliner Marie Osmond, to protest resort fees.  Not their’s, the other guys!

Most hotels not part of the Caesar family, including the Bellagio, MGM Grand and Venetian, charge a mandatory resort fee, ranging from $4 to $25 per night for such ‘extra” amenities as valet service,  free fax and towels at the pool.  The fees are usually not included in an advertised room rate.

Caesars Entertainment has made this a major part of their marketing.  Claiming its no-fees policy saves travelers $3 million per month.

The event Thursday morning was dubbed a gesture of solidarity with the American consumer.

Win A Trip to Las Vegas

The online contest encourages participants to view a consumer-generated video and then produce and submit creative video content in protest of hidden resort fees for a chance to win one of three Las Vegas getaways – no resort fees included. View the video http://www.youtube.com/noresortfees#p/a/u/0/zEyo2S9Mano or visit Caesars Entertainment’s “No Resort Fees” Facebook page www.facebook.com/NoResortFees for rules and more information.
