115 NASCAR Recap with the Ace Reporter and the Chip-N-Dale Magnet

Yes, it’s over and we survived another wonderful year at the NASCAR track.  The Nationwide Sams Town 300 and the Shelby American 350.  As usual, that is followed up by a review co-hosted by our visiting St Louis office.  Your favorite characters (next to Mark and Sazzy) The Ace Reporter and The Chip-N-Dale Magnet.

I have to say that this year was probably the best of the years we have covered this race weekend.  The people, the fans and the races were all great.  Even with the Danica frenzy and the Thunderbird’s not following orders.  It was still an awesome weekend all the way around.  The best part was watching The Ace Reporter interview one of NASCAR’s  fan favorite and all around nice guy, Tony Stewart.

At the end of the long weekend, we all sit down and record what has become one of our most popular shows: The recap with Ace and his wife, The Chip-N-Dale Magnet.  Also known as The Purse Lady.

Here are some links and notes from the show

As a closing note to a wild weekend, I wanted to thank all the new fans and friends we made this past weekend.  For me, I need to send a special note out to the new fans from Blue Ribbon Meat Company of Sparks, NV…  Thanks for the hospitality, the well needed margarita and the great ribs.  Could you send a few pounds our way and I promise not to post those “other ” photos.  OK???

Please feel free to post any comments or questions.  Always wanting to hear from you all.

In the great, immortal words of  Thomas J Willet  “You can all go home now, I’m done here”

    Great blog.

I’m just starting to get into NASCAR. But I find that I’m more interested in the last 10 minutes of the race than sitting through several hours of it.

Is this typical of most new NASCAR fans?

    Joan,

I think it depends if your watching it in person or on TV. If I watch a race on TV by myself I tend to fall asleep until the last 10 minutes. If my race buddy’s are over watching a race we talk the whole time until the last 10 minutes when my house rules dictate that everyone must shut up! Watching a race live is the way to go! You can feel the engines, the excitement, and in general just start shouting for your driver not to do anything stupid. If watching live get a race radio, worth every penny and easier to keep up with the action. You can also listen to your favorite driver in the car!
    See you at the track!

I hated NASCAR until I went to one. The sounds, the energy and the people will get you hooked. I still can’t watch it on TV, except the last ten laps or so. Kind of like football, not really interesting until the end….

That, and NASCAR knows how to market. they know who the audience is and they cater to them… Other sports could learn from them….

    Thanks for listening…
