Last Friday was the home opener for our very own Las Vegas Sin. A franchise team for the ever growing popular sport called the Lingerie Football League (LFL) ! And let me tell you that they looked good whooping the bras off of defending champions Los Angeles Temptation’s 28-20.
Being an expansion team, Las Vegas Sin were rated the underdog against the Temptations, who are an established team with Lingerie Bowl 8 trophy. Both teams going into the match up were undefeated for the season. Our girls changed that in hurry!

These girls and the league they play for, are more than sugar and spice and all things nice. So don’t let the pretty little outfits fool you. They can take a hit as well as give a hit if it means catching a ball and scoring some points. After watching some of this year’s NFL teams play, I definitely would match these girls up against any of them and watch the boys go home crying…
Watch Them Play
If you are interested, there is one last time this season to see them play at The Orleans Arena. Next and last home game for the season is January 21, 201. Keep upi scoring and we just might be able to see them in the Lingerie Bowl 9 to be played at the Orleans Arena on February 5, 2012 Las Vegas Sin Tickets and Info

Mr Mark’s Crystal Ball
I’m 50/50 with my predictions, so what I am about to say is merely my opinion from being a local journalist and fan of the sport.
Watching the game, you saw some awesome talent out on the field. They played rough and tough while displaying a passion for the game. A team like this could have some great opportunities in this tourist market. As the league expands and gets more attention (expanding into Canada in 2012), The potential locally could be enormous for all involved.
The problem is that the team management is amateur at best and the league is suffering severe growing pains. There is no doubt that the league will survive into and beyond 2012. This team has a 50/50 shot at another year.
Right now, it is 7:30pm on November 18. According to the league website, the game will start in 1 hour and 30 minutes. According to the team website, they are still anticipating a great game to start at any minute.
The team shares an office with the failing Las Vegas Wranglers. Both teams marketing people suffer from the same syndrome that other Las Vegas semi pro teams acquired before failing: The dreaded “I am too pretty for my face, this team is so great, we don’t need no local marketing” syndrome. In other words: They spend too much time admiring themselves in the office mirror to worry about getting out and aggressively marketing the team to the local population.
And that’s a shame. To survive in Vegas, you need the local market to buy into the team and the idea. We just watched the “other” football team in town, the UFL, United Football League, wrap up early and go home. The team name was local, the team itself was based out of California. At least with the Las Vegas Sin, the team members live in and work in the community. Now if only the team management would harness that, they could have a chance to survive a few more years. But that would take some major changes in operations.
