Weekend Track Updates

mark martin nationwide winner las vegas speedway nascar

Many of you know I am a lte bloomer as it comes to NASCAR.  Never liked it until I saw it live andbecame hooked on the smell, the sights and most importantly, the sounds.  Now its an event we look forward to every year.  Still having some problems recognizing the drivers and the legends.  Keep getting next to the stars of the show and not realize it.  Or if I do, its too late for a photo shot.

Sam’s Town 300
This is the Nationwide race held on the Saturday.

This year, 52 Year-Old Mark Martin snaped his cold streak when he surprised the Las Vegas crowd with his Nationwide victory on Saturday.  Martin won on the final lap of the 200 lap race when a flat tire sent leader Brad Keselowski into the wall.

Just for the history buffs, it was Martin who won the inaugural NASCAR Cup Race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway back in 1998

Danica Patrick Watchers
Danicia is still a crowd maker.  When she hits the pavement, the crowds flock to cover her every move.  She made NASCAR history on Saturday with a 4th place win…the best finish ever for a woman in a national NASCAR race….

Speedway Sellout
Today is the big race.  The NASCAR Kobalt Tools 400 should be a sellout.  Track officials made the announcement that this would be the 10th consecutive NASCAR Sprint Cup sellout.
