KISS Takes Over Las Vegas

Ok, maybe “takes Over” is a bit over the top.  But we are talking about the most successfully over-hyped band of the modern era, KISS and they did land at the Hard Rock via Maverick Helicopters.  What? Did you expected them to come in through the regular ways?? Come’ on, this is KISS we are talking about, not Britney.  This is How KISS rolls in Vegas!

From the Press Release:
Legendary rock band KISS teams up with Maverick Helicopters to kick off its first-ever residency, KISS Rocks Vegas, with an over-the-top helicopter arrival at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas . The iconic band will bring one of the loudest, most extreme, rock ‘n’ roll parties to The Joint from now through Sunday, Nov. 23

Yup, for two weeks   KISS band members: Gene Simmons, Eric Singer, Paul Stanley and Tommy Thayer will be rocking the roof off the place at the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel.  I am sure gene will show up elsewhere just to mess with the local media and offer his take on anything business or musical related.

Support the Troops

KISS is known and respected for their extensive work with active military members and veterans.  here in Las Vegas, KISS has partnered with Nellis Air Force Base to pick three local, highly-decorated heroes to become a “Roadie for a Week.” Master Sergeant Jason Borkhuis of Nellis Air Force Base, Sergeant First Class Cory DeMille of the U.S. Army Reserve and Technical Sergeant Richard Reichert of Nellis Air Force Base were chosen by the band.” Each roadie will work three shows alongside the KISS crew and VIP program.

Not being a KISS fan, I still think that would be a cool gig to have for a few nights!!
