Monday is Fee Free Day !

National Parks Fee free Day Las Vegas

Las Vegas is surrounded by some amazing natural beauty. That includes many National Parks, Monuments, and landmarks (six are within a 1-hour drive).  This Monday is presidents day and the National Park Service is celebrating with “Fee Free” day at any National Park Service location that charges an entrance fee.  So GO!  Get out and explore your National Park!

If you ever heard my story about moving to Las Vegas, you know I was not really wanting to stay here very long.  However, once I got out and started to play in the desert and visit all the great natural wonders surrounding the city and to learn about their history, I was pretty well hooked and have stayed ever since.  No matter your level of ability or desire to get out and “play”, Vegas is surrounded by places to explore.  Hike a few miles or a few days.  Take off-road adventures to new heights and extremes or just sit back and watch a sunset over one of the mountain formations.  It’s all worth the effort.

No matter your level of ability or desire to get out and “play”, Vegas is surrounded by places for you to explore.  Hike a few miles or a few days.  Trek across some flat plains and commune with a Joshua tree or tow or scramble to the top of a mountain.  Take off-road adventures to new heights and extremes or just sit back and watch a sunset over one of the mountain formations.  It’s all worth the effort.

If you are in Las Vegas and curious just where some of these wonders of nature are located, we have a website for you  FindYourPark.Vegas  Broken down by distances from Las Vegas.
